Paul Andrew's Biography
Paul Andrews is Executive Producer of Improbable Pairs. Mr. Andrews activities currently center on using media to contribute to the public interest. In addition to producing Improbable Pairs, he is the Vice President of an interactive television enterprise that is using new technology to enable television viewers to support civic and philanthropic causes and social change at a very large scale. He also works with Images and Voices of Hope, a global network of media professionals committed to a new vision of media making a positive difference in the world. Between 1996 and 2000, Mr. Andrews was part of the founding staff of a new global interfaith organization. During that time, he was the Director of the organizationÕs annual global conferences, and managed a coordinated social action program involving over 300 projects in 60 countries. Along the way, Mr. Andrews has also been a carpenter, cabinetmaker, choral conductor and teacher. He graduated from Yale University in 1970 with a degree in Political Science.
Frances Dose's Biography
Frances Dose is co-director and editor of Improbable Pairs. Ms. Dose currently works as a software engineer creating special effect and compositing software; as a production artist in computer animation and compositing; and as a teacher, teaching computer graphics and animation. She was initially trained in drawing and painting, and then pursued an MFA in experimental animation at California Institute of the Arts, where she graduated in 1990. She is currently expanding her film making interests into the area of documentary film. Ms. Dose's past creative work has taken the form of animated shorts, which have shown in Film Festivals and won awards, childrenÕs story illustration, and 2 dimensional computer graphic work which she exhibits in shows and galleries.
